design drawing longest glass balcony bolton

Sunrock Balconies have a prestigious contract to install the longest Infinity Glass Balustrade to date. It is also the single largest balcony (meters squared) that we are installing and will have multi-levels.

The project involves totally redesigning and refurbishing the existing balcony near Bolton in Lancashire.

The existing glass panels, which are currently set in a wooden balustrade, are being replaced with a long infinity glass balustrade. Together with all the composite decking and some new levels of balcony. In addition, these will have our infinity glass balustrades, plus steps to give better access. Finally there is also provision in the designs for additional balcony levels in the future.

infinity glass juliet balcony harrogate

Sunrock install a Infinity Glass Juliet Balcony in Harrogate.
This beautiful house requires a juliet balcony to conform to building regulations for the upstairs french windows. Prior to the installation the house features in an episode of the Channel 4 program ‘The Restoration Man’.

In addition, the fixing of the Juliet balcony is on to brick work. Therefore Sunrock uses 316 marine grade stainless steel fixing buttons to achieve this. The buttons sit at the side of the glass, which is standard fixing for most glass Juliet balconies.

drawing design bespoke juliet balcony

A Sunrock bespoke juliet balcony was the solution to a tricky problem for one of our customers.

Because of the window configuration either side of french windows a standard juliet balcony was not suitable at this property in the Midlands. So here at Sunrock we designed and made a bespoke juliet balcony featuring glass and stainless steel that solved the problem perfectly!

Because the side windows open below the standard 1.1m height of a juliet balcony there was nowhere to fix the glass and stainless steel juliet balcony the customer preferred.

So we drew up a design and technical drawing for the proposed juliet balcony which shows a steel framework to sit below the side windows that fixes on to the brickwork

Sunrock 4m wide infinity glass juliet balcony tattenhall cheshire

The Sunrock Team fits our largest Infinity Glass Juliet Balcony to date!! May 2016
We’ve been hard at work this week fitting two four-metre-wide Infinity Glass Juliet Balconies in Tattenhall, Cheshire.

The huge pieces of glass posed both logistical and practical difficulties as they weighed a quarter of a tonne each and were to be delivered to the end of a single track road in a rural area.

With 10 years’ experience fitting all manner of different balconies the Sunrock Team are up to the task and this installation this was no exception, the balconies were fitted in two days and the results are stunning.

The Juliet balconies (from our Halifax range) will provide completely unbroken views out of two large bedroom windows and will endure as one of the defining design features of this beautifully built new home.

We are very proud that our client Prime Elements Tweeted to commend us on a great job:

If you have a balcony requirement no matter how big or small, please drop us a line; as you can see we relish a challenge.

Dream Home Sunrock Infinity Glass Balustrades Abersoch North Wales

Dream Home Balcony

Four in Ten people say if they were building their dream home a Balcony would top their shopping list!!

A recent article in The Daily Mail reports on a survey asking British people what their ‘must have’ item would be if designing their dream house.

The poll from estate agency Tepilo found that 43% of us crave extra outside space over other architectural additions like gyms, cinemas and wine cellars.

The results came as no surprise to Sunrock. Recently, the trend towards outdoor entertaining and relaxation means we are helping hundreds of home owners to expand their living space and develop their properties.

Furthermore, our customers tell us every day how much difference a beautifully designed Sunrock Balcony makes to their lifestyles. It is probably the most satisfying part of what we do.
